There are lots of reasons to drink water and our Peoria IL Chiropractic Clinic would like to share some of them with you.  Drinking water is essential for survival, every cell, tissue and organ in your body needs water to function correctly.  Our bloodstream cannot transport nutrients effectively unless we drink enough water.  Water not only cleans your body and helps flush out toxins, it also improves the texture of your skin and hair.

Did you know that water makes up more than half of your body weight?  In fact, your body uses water to maintain its temperature, remove waste and lubricate joints.  Your body depends on water for survival.  Water not only cleans your body, it helps create new cells, boosts metabolism, it safeguards the heart, cures headaches and infections, and boosts brain power.

Many people do not realize when they are not getting enough water.  Our bodies require at least eight glasses of water per day and more during exercise, illness, and hot weather.  Many people think that coffee, soft drinks, tea, and juice are adequate to replenish their hydration.  The truth is that many of these beverages have a diuretic effect.  There is simply no substitution for water.
